Sean Leonard, Founder and CEO, is responsible for managing the business, technology direction, and strategy of the company. Sean holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees (’04, ’05) in EECS from MIT, and a JD from the University of Chicago Law School. Prior to founding Penango, Sean worked on technology transactions, patent prosecution, and intellectual property litigation at Morrison & Foerster in San Diego and Tokyo, and the Software Freedom Law Center in New York. Sean also served as a software developer using Java, cell phone and web technologies at the IBM Tokyo Research lab and at IBM Extreme Blue in North Carolina.
Mike Sylvester, QA and Support Manager, graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Industrial and Operations Engineering and a minor in mathematics. As an undergraduate, he was one of 10 students across the country accepted to Accenture’s inaugural Fellowship program where
he spent a summer developing web-based technologies for Dow Chemicals. Mike interned at PriceWaterHouseCooper’s advisory practice where he worked on a licensing examination
for Lucas Films. Mike also studied accounting at the Graduate Level at USC’s Leventhal School of Accounting.
